Description

This training will provide secondary teachers with effective strategies to support students in decoding and comprehending complex multisyllabic words found across academic texts. Participants will learn how to teach syllable division strategies alongside morphology instruction, helping students analyze prefixes, suffixes, roots, and word origins to unlock both pronunciation and meaning. The session will focus on practical approaches that improve reading fluency, vocabulary development, and content-area comprehension for older learners.
